Who writes this thing?
Hey, I'm Joey. Software engineer, 80127 resident, and the guy behind ScoopOps (yes, I also help people pick up dog poop for a living. More on that another time).
I started the Hogback Post because I was tired of piecing together local news from Nextdoor arguments, random Facebook groups, and the occasional Patch article. Our corner of the metro (Ken Caryl, Columbine, the foothills) is changing fast. Costco and Portillo's are coming to Mineral. The Front Range Rail picked its Littleton station. And most of us heard about it months after the decisions were already made.
The Hogback Post is named after the Dakota Hogback, that 70-million-year-old tilted rock ridge you can see from pretty much every neighborhood in Ken Caryl. It's been here longer than anything. It's not going anywhere. Neither is this newsletter.
