Who writes this thing?

Hey, I'm Joey. Software engineer, 80127 resident, and the guy who reads the meeting agendas so this newsletter has something in it besides the weather.

I started the Hogback Post because I was tired of piecing together local news from Nextdoor arguments, random Facebook groups, and the occasional Patch article. Our corner of the metro (Ken Caryl, Columbine, the foothills) is changing fast. Costco and Portillo's are coming to Mineral. The Shea rezone at TrailMark just got pushed to December. And most of us heard about these things months after the decisions were already made.

The Hogback Post is named after the Dakota Hogback, that 70-million-year-old tilted rock ridge you can see from pretty much every neighborhood in Ken Caryl. It's been here longer than anything. It's not going anywhere. Neither is this newsletter.
