Halloween lands on a Saturday this year, October 31, which means a full-day, no-school-tomorrow kind of night. This page is the running list of what's on around Littleton's 80127, Ken Caryl, and the edges we can see from the Hogback: trunk-or-treats, pumpkin patches, the big rec-district and library nights, and what the towns do and don't say about trick-or-treat hours. Every date and time here comes from the organizer's own listing, checked on the date at the top. Events get added as they're announced and pruned as they pass, and the free Friday newsletter gets each change first.
Columbine Library's All Ages Halloween Party and Trunk or Treat, Saturday, October 10, 6 to 8:30 PM, 7706 West Bowles. The library's biggest Halloween night: crafts for every age, kids' carnival games, a "Spooky Jump Scare Factory," and a costume contest for adults 16 and up, with the trunk-or-treat in the lot. Free. It's also where the pumpkin-carving contest winners get their pumpkins shown off.
Trunk or Treat at the future Deer Creek Library, Friday, October 16, 5 to 7 PM, 11100 Bradford Road. Jefferson County Public Library runs it in the parking lot of the branch it's building on Bradford, the same site as the Saturday bookmobile. Families with kids, costumes encouraged, candy and stickers for the small visitors. Free.
Ken-Caryl Ranch Boo Bash, Friday, October 23, 4:30 to 6:30 PM, the Ranch House, 7676 South Continental Divide Road. This one's worth reading twice if you assumed Ranch events are residents-only: the district's own page says free to attend for residents and non-residents alike, no sign-up needed to walk the lot and collect candy. Hayrides, s'mores, and a decorated-trunk contest with voting that closes at 6:15. Only the people decorating a vehicle have to register, and that's free too.
BOO-rific Bash and Splash, Friday, October 23, 6 to 8 PM, the Ridge Recreation Center on South Ward Street. Foothills Park and Rec's Halloween night at its pool complex, the same evening as the Boo Bash a few minutes east. The district's calendar lists the date and time and nothing else yet. Details, and whether it's ticketed, go here when the district posts them.
Goblin Give Out, downtown Littleton, Sunday, October 25, afternoon. The Main Street tradition: kids in costume trick-or-treat at the participating shops and restaurants along Main, Alamo, and Prince, and the merchants hand out the candy. The downtown association's page says "throughout the afternoon" and no clock time, so plan on early afternoon and ask a shopkeeper. The merchant-decorated Pumpkin Poles go up along the same streets in early October and stay through Halloween, pumpkins permitting.
Chatfield Farms Pumpkin Festival, 8500 West Deer Creek Canyon Road. Denver Botanic Gardens' farm at the mouth of Deer Creek Canyon runs its Pumpkin Festival Friday through Sunday, October 9 to 11, 9 to 4, and it's the only weekend the 10-acre pumpkin patch is open. Tickets are advance and timed, no general admission those three days, and the ticket covers the patch, the corn maze, and the kids' activities. Pumpkins are priced by size, about $8 on average. Live music Saturday and Sunday mornings. Last entry is 4 and the grounds close at 5.
Chatfield Farms corn maze, same address. Fridays through Sundays, September 18 through November 1, 9 to 5. Adults $22, seniors $20, kids 3 to 15 $14, and a mini maze for kids 10 and under. The farm's gardens are open daily for regular admission the rest of the week.
Magic of the Jack O'Lanterns, Hudson Gardens, 6115 South Santa Fe Drive. A lit trail of thousands of hand-carved pumpkins, select nights through November 1, rain or shine, tickets online. Late-September nights run Friday and Saturday 7 to 10 or 10:30 and Sunday 7 to 9:30, with October nights posting on Hudson Gardens' calendar as the month fills in.
Littleton Museum Harvest Festival, Saturday, October 10, 10 AM to 3 PM, 6028 South Gallup Street. Pumpkins for sale on the museum's living-history farms, wagon rides, 1890s carnival games, and historical demonstrations. Admission is free. Wagon rides, games, and snacks run on 50-cent tickets sold at the ticket stations or online ahead of time, cash or check for the tickets and the pumpkins, with an ATM on site. Music in the pumpkin field from 10:30 to 12:30.
Jared's Nursery on West Bowles lists a fall plant sale on its site and no pumpkin patch this year, and neither Southwest Plaza nor Aspen Grove had posted a Halloween event as of the date at the top.
The three biggest nights are already above: the Columbine Library party on the 10th, and the Boo Bash and the Ridge's Bash and Splash, both on the 23rd. The library's pumpkin-carving contest feeds the first one, and its last round is online voting from September 29 through October 4. South Suburban runs a Trick or Treat Street at Goodson Recreation Center in Centennial on the 23rd, 4 to 6:30, $10 a child, which is a drive from here but real. South Suburban also lists a Pumpkin Plunge at Buck Recreation Center and a creature night at the Carson Nature Center, and as of this writing its catalog still showed last year's dates on those two, so they go here when the 2026 dates post.
Neither the City of Littleton nor Jefferson County publishes official trick-or-treat hours, and neither does Ken-Caryl Ranch or TrailMark, at least not anywhere I could find. That's normal for Colorado. Halloween is Saturday, October 31, so expect the doorbells to start early, and the porch lights decide when it's over.
